数据分类为信息资产指定敏感级别，例如公开、内部、机密和受限，使组织能够根据数据的价值和监管要求，采取与之相称的安全控制措施。设计完善的分类方案会影响数据全生命周期中的加密、访问控制、保留策略和处理程序等决策。组织应建立清晰的标签标准，培训员工了解其分类职责，并使用数据发现和DLP解决方案等自动化工具，以一致地执行分类策略。
