特权访问管理（PAM）聚焦于对具有提升权限的账户进行安全保护、访问控制与监控，此类账户包括域管理员、数据库管理员和 root 账户。实施时通常需要部署 PAM 解决方案，该方案提供口令保险库、会话录制、按需（即时）访问授权以及凭据自动轮换等功能。鉴于被入侵的特权账户涉及大多数数据泄露事件，组织应落实最小权限原则，要求所有特权访问启用多因素认证（MFA），并定期开展审查，以确认提升的权限仍然具有必要性。
